Monday morning prayer
Father in the name of Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith,
I know sometimes, I come to you days before letting you know how hard my Mondays can be and will be . Dreaded on Sunday and fled from on a Friday but yet God these are the wonderful days you’ve created and You’re higher than any other. So I pray you would help me to embrace this day and the others you will allow me to see. Cancel everything negative things I’ve spoken over my week because I know the words I speak are powerful and I’m causing my days to be hard by my speaking negative things. Please lord God remove any negative thoughts, feelings about my week that I’ve spoken. Bless my week and this journey and let me find joy in each and everyday you’ve blessed me with because Lord God you are giving me a fresh start to accomplish something great and to enjoy my time on this earth and I’m thankful for that.
Let it be a new day and a wonderful day. Help me to see not only the clouds but the sunrise, not only the rain but the ripples of falling drops and the beautiful rainbow that comes after the rain with your glorious promises. Show me how to joy and embrace this journey of life with my loved ones, and not focus so much on tensions and troubles. So today and everyday to come, I praise you God for the new day, the new things that You are doing in my life. And finally, help me to rest in the truth of Psalm 86:86:13 , “Great is your love toward me.” You already see the ways I will fall short and mess up. But right now, I consciously tuck Your whisper of absolute love for me into the deepest part of my heart. I recognize Your love for me is not based on my performance. You love me warts and all. That’s amazing. But what’s most amazing is that the Savior of the world would desire a few minutes with me this morning. Lord, help me to forever remember what a gift it is to sit with You like this each and every day.
This day and everyday, help me to turn my eyes towards your Kingdom, of love, hope and new beginnings.
In Jesus name, Amen.
